Dear Doug & Family,
We want to thank you for the great deal on the 2000 mustang we bought
from you. At first we were a little apprehensive because of the 149,000
miles.
When we got it to our little shop at home, I noticed that the oil and filter had been changed very recently, and that all four brakes were new, then I opened the air intake to look at the air filter, and it was brand new. as I continued my inspection I saw many signs of good maintenance, and the new convertible top really makes it stand out. After driving the car for a month we are very happy with it, and know that with continued quality maintenance at your shop " Hawker automotive" our mustang will give us many more miles of driving pleasure.
Sincerely Guy & Beverly Fotheringham

During the month of December we had a promotion where we put a person in
the drawing if they came in and had the fall special service completed.
Just before christmas we drew out the name of Al Faapuna who recieved
$500.00 for the prize give away.
Ever year it is the same thing. You get the nasty letter in the mail
telling you how much you have to pay to register your car. Also there
is a notice that you have to get a safety inspection done!! I know it
has happened to all of us. You come in and it is supposed to be
$17.00, but it hardly ever is because there is almost always something
wrong that needs to be fixed.
Everyone has had it happen at least once and it is never fun! Well,
there is a way to get past this most of the time.
Each time we do a service on your car we also perform vehicle
inspection. There are over 40 items that we check from the front to
the rear bumper. Most of the items needed to pass the State Inspection
are on our list. We can let you know if they will need to be taken
care of to pass State Inspection.
Another thing is that you can come in up to 60 days before your plates
expire and get the Inspection done. So if there is anything needed, or
not needed you will know in advance.
The purpose of the State Inspection is to make sure that vehicles on
the road are safe. They do their best to determine what will reduce
the risk of accident to you or another driver.
If you know your Inspection is coming up don't hesitate to ask us to
check to see if there is anything needed to be done.
We hope that taking care of your car throughout the year ahd checking
everything will reduce the pain when it's time for your State
Inspection.

This time of year everyone is taking vacations. It is so important for
families to spend time together doing fun things and making memories.
One thing that makes it hard to do everything is lack of money. We
know this from our own experience, so here are a few tips on ways you
can improve your gas mileage, which means more money in your pocket.
Tire pressure is more important than you may know. If not set right, it can decrease your gas mileage, effect the way your car drives, and wear out your tires a lot faster than they should. We always check tire pressure as part of our Oil Change and on the 27 point inspections.
"I only take my cars to you at Hawker Automotive because I know I can
trust you and you always do a good job!"

When AAA considers a shop for approval it requires that the shop have
technicians that are certified by ASE (National Institute of Auto
Service Excellence) in each area that they offer service. It requires
the shop to provide proof of garage keepers liability insurance.
It also inspects the shop's equipment to insure that they have the
right tools, in working order, to do the jobs they claim to do.
Finally AAA gets 200 recent, consecutively numbered repair invoices
and calls the clients to confirm that the shop does a good job.
This inspection and customer survey is repeated annually.
We have initiated a new policy to not give out prices
over the phone unless we have diagnosed the problem ourselves.
Although this may seem frustrating, it really has reduced a lot of
headache for our shop and our customers.
What we do is look at each car and problem individually and diagnose
each specific problem. Then we build an estimate for what the cost
will be to repair the vehicle. We let you know what is causing the
problem, what is needed to fix the problem, and what it is going to
cost to fix. You then have enough accurate information to make a
decision.
A lot of times people have called into shops asking for a price and
the different shops have guessed on what it could be and what it could
cost to fix the problem, sometimes people do not bring in their cars
because someone guessed it would be a lot of money. In actuality it
may have been something very inexpensive to repair.
We take all the guess work out of the pricing, simply bringing your
car in to get diagnosed gives you the peace of mind that you will know
exactly what is needed and how much it will cost.
